I think it’s no exaggeration that I grew up with SM. I can still remember feeling excited one summer about my parents buying a kids portable pool at SM North Edsa. We called it “portapool” back then. I also looked forward to buying shoes and supplies before school started. When I was in elementary, my late grandfather would buy us those sturdy Greg shoes, some undergarments and a few pairs of white socks. During Christmas break, my parents would take us shopping. We’d buy some toys and clothes. For a young kid, those are wonderful and magical times.
Now, I have a family of my own. Sometimes, my 2 year old daughter and I would pretend we’re driving. I would ask her, “Where are we going?” She would say, “ SM MOPA” which actually means SM MOA (SM Mall of Asia). Yes, I think she too will be growing up with SM.
This summer, we had a great time at SM. It was a #SupperSummerAtSM2017 for us because we got to enjoy eating out, shopping and having fun with relatives.

I think the happiest SM moment of our family this summer break was getting to celebrate our wedding anniversary with our daughter. We had an early dinner at our favorite Vietnamese noodle shop. It was simple but enjoyable.
After that, we did some shopping. I was also ecstatic (and relieved) that my daughter wanted to explore the department store. She usually prefers being carried so seeing her so curious about the things around her was a welcome surprise.

My family and I really enjoy going to SM Supermalls not only for their 3 day sales but simply because they’ve got it all. When we go there, we not only spend time with family but also buy things we need (and want), pay the bills and relax a bit. It’s also great that it offers a wide selection of items at reasonable prices. It truly is a place where our family enjoys hanging out for hours. It’s always #FamFirstatSM.
