Manila Ocean Park : 5 Tips to Remember when you visit

Christmas break is often the chance for families and friends to spend quality time together. Many look for good places to eat at or new sights to see.

A few days ago, we had the chance to hang out to with our friends and their kids.We headed to Manila Ocean park and got the Deep Sea Rush 6 (P580).This package includes six attractions: Oceanarium, Back of the House, Jellies Exhibit, Sea Lion Show, Shark and Ray Dry Encounter, and Symphony Evening Show. Due to time constraints and in anticipation of heavy traffic since it’s the holidays, we didn’t experience all the attractions. But overall, it was an enjoyable day with family and friends. I’d consider the Oceanarium as the best attraction in the package since we got to see a lot of sea creatures from eels to sharks up close.

Fortunately, we managed to get some good shots of the sights and stars of this park

If you’re planning to go there  one of these days, I just want to share some tips:

1. BABY WEAR

If you’re bringing baby along, it is best to babywear. One other option is to bring a ultralightweight stroller. We brought our ultralight stroller but it was still inconvenient because the escalators were not working that day.

2. EAT SOMETHING HEAVY

If you’re on a budget, eat a heavy meal before going because the places to eat are quite limited and a bit pricey.

3.BEAT THE HEAT

Bring an umbrella or cap sunblock and thermos filled with ice water especially if you plan to see the afternoon scheduled shows. We went on the 3 pm sea lion show and the heat was scorching! You could also go to an earlier or later show.

4. GO TO THE SHOWS EARLY

The seats get filled up quickly and the way to the venues can be long and winding so allot about 30 min of “travel time” to these shows. As with all theme parks, use comfy shoes.

5. KEEP CLOSE

Keep your children and belongings close. The park is usually crowded so you need everything and everyone near. If you’re goin as a group have a meeting point and bring a means of communication just in case someone gets lost in the crowd.

By the way you can also give park tickets as gifts! For more information about ticket prices ,other packages and schedules please visit their website: www.manilaoceanpark.com
